Maximillian (shelter name Togo)
Maximillian was born in August 2012 and has been in the shelter since May 27th 2014. He has diabetes insipidus - which is not a true diabetes but means that, unmedicated, he drinks continuously and, therefore, pees continuously. However, this is simply corrected by a drop of Minurin in each of his tear ducts twice daily. No testing is needed - just the twice daily drops which he really is a very good boy about!! Anyway, this kind of thing is usually enough to put people off - however, we know with our adopters that we will have someone willing to home him. Maximillian will be best in a home with no other dogs as he has been in a few scraps in his time. We would like to find him a home as soon as possible as he has recently lost his best girlie friend to a wonderful new home. Maximillian and Avena were kennelled together and were usually seen just wrapped around each other sleeping. She went to her new home in October and poor Maximillian is still on his own. He really is a lovely dog, He is low maintenance, very loving and would make a fantastic companion.
