Pookie & Ted had been owned by a farmer who had let his number of dogs get out of hand and he was not looking after any of them properly and threatening to have them all put to sleep. He had SIXTEEN dogs. All were underfed, not vaccinated or neutered and were breeding like rabbits.
Ted is a tiny little boy with black fur. He has one ear that sticks up, the other folds down. He is slightly more confident than Pookie but he is also timid. He is enjoying life at the shelter but would really be better placed in a home where he would make someone a lovely little companion.
Finally, after 10 months at the shelter, Ted has learnt to relax and realise that humans aren't so bad after all. He has been put in a pen with small puppies and he has never seemed happier. He actually comes up for a stroke and enjoys a little play with his penmates. He is still a little tense when he is picked up but he doesn't mind being on the lead and actually secretly enjoys human attention. In the right home, Ted could learn to trust and become a lovely little lapdog.
